Toobeez

My grandkids love these toys.  And they don’t even know how just playing with them teaches them leadership and negotiation skills…such big words for little kids!

Toobeez are like giant tinker toys. Toobeez is a life-sized construction toy comprised of interlocking tubes and spheres that can be linked together to create anything imaginable. The name describes how the product works- tubes that are easy to use for work or play.

Toobeez endeavors to facilitate the best ways to bring people together and the ways to bring out the best in people. Initially Toobeez were sold exclusively in the speciality toy market, but it didn’t take long to realize the versatility of the product and its multi-use functionality due to its open-ended nature.

Toobeez is currently used in the following categories: education, team building and training, occupational therapy, therapeutic recreation and wherever children gather, such as camps, organizations and after school programs. There is even a group of forward thinking dog trainers who use Toobeez to create challenging courses for agility training.

Breathing exercises

Can the doctors solve your health problem?

Obesity, high blood pressure, panic attacks, depression, GERD and IBS, allergies…often these seem to go together. You may only have one or two of these problems. Or you may have them all.

Why do these go together so often?

And why so often do people have “mystery ailments” that doctors can’t figure out? More and more common these days.

How to Fake a Good Night’s Sleep

Look Like a Beauty Without the Sleep – How to Fake a Good Night’s Rest

As we spring ahead again and adjust our internal clocks for Daylight Savings, we must be prepared for those mornings when sleep doesn’t come naturally – a condition known as “Daylight Savings Hangover.” The good news is that there is a way to look refreshed and awake – even if your sleep schedule is in the dumps.

Tip 1: Shut it down – electronics that is. Before going to sleep, shut down all electronics – that means TV, computer and, yes, your blackberry. These all are stimulants for the brain, and if you’re answering emails in bed at 10 p.m., you’re going to have a difficult time getting to sleep. Hit the power switch at least an hour before bedtime.

Tip 2: Get up … NOW! Once the alarm goes off, get out of bed immediately. Snoozing is not sleep; it’s just prolonging the inevitable.

Tip 3: So now that you’re up – do something. Try a morning workout to get motivated and feel energized for the day. Take a quick run or hit an early morning spin class. Be sure to challenge yourself first thing and then see how much easier your morning commute feels.

Tip 4: Hydrate. Great-looking skin isn’t just about what you put on it, but also what you put in your body. Skip that morning cup of coffee, which can be dehydrating, and drink a glass of ice water instead. The cold water will not only give you a kick in the morning, but also help hydrate skin, leaving it looking and feeling refreshed.

Tip 5: Wakeup and fake it! Use a hydrating and stimulating makeup like Almay Wake-Up Makeup– a favorite of celeb Kate Hudson. This product contains essential minerals and ingredients, such as cucumber and aloe, which soothe and hydrate skin. It also has first-of-its-kind encapsulated water technology – once the powder touches your skin, it releases a cooling sensation that gives you an added boost in the morning.

Tip 6: Do NOT skip breakfast. You’ve worked out, you’ve hydrated, you’re looking gorgeous. Why deny your body the nutrients it needs to keep it looking and feeling refreshed by walking out the door without grabbing a quick bite?

Fake Prescription Drugs

60 Minutes tonight-reports about the problem of illegal prescription drugs was discussed on tonight’s program.

Many patients are getting their medications from fake websites – an estimated 36 million purchasers search out the cheapest medication available online.

Pfizer seems to be on the frontline fighting this war on illegal prescription drugs.  Of course it is bad for their bottom line but more than that Pfizer knows that patients can become very ill or die from contaminated drugs.

It is frightening to realize that ingredients are being used that come from China and other overseas countries.  Their standards are much lower than in the US for manufacturing.

A personal note: my brother, Dan, traveled for business to China in 2002.  He simply ate hotel food one morning and became ill for days.  One year later he died of stage four liver cancer.  The doctor scanned his entire body for the source of the cancer.  It was in his small intestine.  I spoke to the doctor about this-how could my brother who never smoked or drank, was in peak condition having been a physical ed teacher and exercised all his life, how could he get cancer?

His response is shocking. He told me that in China and other countries US citizens are ingesting viruses in their food and drink that have been proven to cause cancer.  That we have not built up the immunities that the native citizens have.  He concluded this was what happened to my brother!

Back to the illegal fake prescription drugs.  If just eating something in a foreign country is bad for you can you imagine what these fake drugs contain?

CRANSTON, RI (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - A man who killed a 5-year-old boy and allegedly ate him is set to be freed from a Rhode Island jail in August.

Michael Woodmansee, 16-years-old at the time, kidnapped and killed Jason Foreman in 1975.

Foreman was presumed to be missing until 1982 when Woodmansee tried to lure another boy into his home.

The boy escaped and police began to question Woodmansee about Foreman’s disappearance.

They found Jason Foreman’s skull and bones, which had been shellacked, on Woodmansee’s dresser along with a journal which detailed the gruesome killing.

Think McDonald’s Offers Healthy Choice?

McDonalds – Who are they fooling?

“A more accurate description than ‘100% natural whole-grain oats,’ ‘plump raisins,’ ‘sweet cranberries’ and ‘crisp fresh apples’ would be ‘oats, sugar, sweetened dried fruit, cream and 11 weird ingredients you would never keep in your kitchen.’” New York Times

Recall notice Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution

The Ritedose Corporation has recalled some single-dose vials of Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution because an incorrect label could lead to a possible overdose.

The recall includes 0.083% Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution, 3 mL (in 25-, 30-, and 60-unit dose vials) because the 2.5 mg/3 mL single-use vials are mislabeled as containing 0.5 mg/3 mL.

The product is a prescription inhalation solution that is administered with a nebulizer to treat acute asthma attacks and exercise-induced asthma in children and adults.

If someone reads the incorrect concentration, he or she may upwardly adjust the volume, resulting in an administered amount that is five times the recommended dose.

The recalled solution is contained in single-use vials in a protective foil overwrap packaged in a shelf carton. The correct concentration is, however, labeled on the primary foil overwrap pouches and shelf cartons.

The recalled lot numbers are manufactured by The Ritedose Corporation under NDC: 0591-3797-83, 0591-3797-30, and 0591-3797-60.
